I too used to be a courier, though I drove my car.  A quick story:
When I was delivering jobs for the University of Toronto Press I would often get tickets for parking in unauthorized spots.  It was suggested to me that I go to Police headquarters just a few blocks away and tell them my story and I could likely get the tickets deleted.  So that sounded great to me and I headed over there on my lunch break.  After a fairly brief 15 minutes I had succeeded in having several tickets torn up.  Feeling very happy with my success, I headed back outside only to find that I had been ticketed infront of the police station... F!*% !!!</description>
